Date: 2/20/2021
City: Marlin
Location: Falls of the Brazos Park
County: Falls
Difficulty: Easy
Distance: About 40 yards
*** Part of the Other Forts of Texas Series ****
This was a Texas Ranger Camp located near Fort Milam. Nothing remains of the camp. The box is located at Falls of the Brazos park, near the location.
Directions:
From Marlin, go south on Hwy 6. Turn right on Business 6. Turn left on CR 712 and go a few miles. Turn left into Falls of the Brazos park and drive to white building. Go left down past camping and on to where road either goes left across creek or right around circle back to front. Park in lot hear by overlook of falls.
To the Letterbox:
*** I lost my clues, so hope this is right. Please give me update if you find with any changes that need to be made: From overlook, walk up the road that curved to the right toward front of park. In about 30 yards look right for big trees at top of hill at edge of playground. Walk to those trees. Should be gap in middle of them. Box is in this gap at base under rocks.
