This is an easy box, maybe 10min. one way if you don't get involved with the animals.
Directions: Go to The New Britain Youth Museum at Hungerford Park...191 Farmington Ave. Kensington, Ct. This is on Rt. 372 just after the jct. of Rt. 71A
Clues: After parking your car walk towards the lattice work fence at the end of the building. On the left is the entrance to the museum (a must see) and on the right a map board where you can familiarize yourself with the trails. Follow the trail past the animals, picnic tables, gazebo and then along the end of the pond. At the trail jct. notice the plaque honoring the Eagle Scout who is responsible for building this portion of the trail. Yea Scouts!!
Take a right (or you might call it straight) at this fork and continue following along Farmington Ave. staying straight at the next jct. where a couple of trails meet. One leads into a field with birdhouses. After the field, take the next left trail blazed in red (no longer blazed red but you'll be walking with the field on your left)and soon you'll see a pine grove on your right and another entrance to the field on your left. Right after this there's a yellow trail on the left and opposite it on the right side is a multi fingered tree (5?) where you should come ACROSS the box.
Re hide out of sight.
There are many trails to the left and quite a neat little stroll or you can retrace your steps back to your car.
