We are very saddened to announce that this box barely lasted a few days!!! I have had a report that the "guts" of this box are gone. There are no plans to replace it. If it is gone then it wasn't meant to be!!! I hope some of you had a chance to find it.
~We placed this box in honor of the wonderful Dragon Boat races that are held on the Connecticut River. What an incredible sight that must be!
The dragon is a mythological creature regarded by the Chinese as having dominion over the water and exercising control over rainfall.
Directions:
Find your way to Great River Park in East Hartford. It is located on East River Drive. Park in the parking lot and proceed on foot.
Clues:
Follow the river downstream from the parking lot. You will quickly come to a fork. Go to the right, away from the amphitheater. Count seven (7) lamp posts, starting with the lamp post just after the fork. At the seventh (7th) post you will see two (2) cement benches. Sit on the first one and look over your right shoulder. There you will see a five (5) family tree. Behind the twin sisters on the right you will find the Dragon. You can take the box down to the benches to stamp in. When you are done be sure to replace the box where it came from. PLEASE be sure to cover it with the many rocks/sticks/leaves that are around. This is a very busy/exposed area. It is up to all of us to insure the safety of this box.
We hope you enjoy our box. Flutterby & Roalie Goalie~
