This letterbox is hidden on the Crooked River Grasslands. During part of the year, cattle range here but it is still public land. Long pants and mud shoes are highly recommended.
To the trailhead: Turn east on B street in Terrebonne. Stay on that road until you come to a T. At the T turn left. Soon after you cross the Jefferson County line look for the Skull Hollow campground sign. Turn left on the dirt road. Ignore any roads to the left. At Road 57 take a left. When you come to several large Poplar trees, stay on the road you are on and keep to the right at all intersections. Watch for another tire watering trough on the right. When you see it park near the trough.
