7/14/10 All three boxes in this series have now been re-hidden and are awaiting finders...

******I have been informed by Lobsta Lady herself that this trail is now blazed BRIGHT ORANGE from the time you cross the bridge.*************************************************

Lobsta's Birthday Loot

There is a wonderful boxer, both kind and sweet.
That I was fortunate enough to meet.
It is a pleasure to box with her.
So I thought I'd give a gift to her.

Lobsta Lady, I hope you enjoy your presents at least half as much as I enjoy your company.

This is a series of three boxes with only one log book. It is in the last box. PLEASE bring markers with you. There are no ink pads and I think you will enjoy coloring these in.

Find your way to Camp Oakdale in Montville, CT on Simpson Lane. Park in the good size parking lot and head towards the tennis courts. Go to the other side of the courts, keeping the fence on your left, to find the start of the trails. Once you get to the sign you will see a bridge. Cross this bridge when you come to it. Follow the red trail. Pass the white trail on your right. Then pass Rand Whitney on the right and the Montville Lions on your left. You will next come to a very large, flat topped rock on the left side of the trail with a red blaze on it. Go forward ~ 20 steps from this rock and stop. Look to your right, uphill, and there you should see a split rock partway up the hill. Go to the rock, and in the split, trail side, you will find the first of the loot-Birds.

Go back to the path and continue in the direction that you were heading. You will come to a three way intersection. At this intersection turn left with yellow and go through the stone wall. You will pass the Strong Live tree and cross another bridge by a delightful little waterfall. Go up the hill on yellow until you come to a stone wall on the right. Go off trail with the wall until you come to a "T" with another wall. At this point turn right and walk 4 steps to find the next bit of loot, #2 Nature Photography (it's the best I could do) low in the wall.

Go back to the yellow path, again heading in the same direction. You will come to a wonderful rocky area. It looks as though the rocks just tumbled down. They would be a nice place to sit and take a rest. Just after this you will see a lone, medium size sitting rock off to the left. A little ways behind this rock you will see a medium Beech tree. Go to the back side of this tree and look in the rocks for the third and final box of loot, Mushrooms.

I hope you enjoyed searching for your loot. You can turn around and retrace your steps to your vehicle.

Happy Birthday Lobsta Lady!!
