Why Love Canal?
Because people have already forgotten.
To find this letterbox, a little research must be done first.
Learn about Love Canal, review the history, put yourself in the shoes of the parents whose children went to school everyday with the blind trust and love of ones who believe their schools and homes are safe.
Imagine where the school was that Lois Gibbs was concerned about.
Find it's past location.
Add one to the name of the street the school was on.
Find the Silent Sentinel, an old sun-bleached tree trunk who once shaded the innocent at play, whose remains now stand amid a lilac and a red maple.
70 degrees from the Silent Sentinel cross a dirt track and find the seven trunked tree.
