Lakeside Beach State Park offers an outstanding panoramic view of Lake Ontario and surrounding farms and fruit orchards. No swimming is allowed, but 274 campsites, four miles of hiking and biking trails, fishing along the lake front, picnic grounds and playing fields bring thousands to the park. Winter activities include hiking, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Be aware that there is a fee for using the park.

Directions: On Lake Ontario, off of the Lake Ontario State Parkway, 10 miles north of Albion on Route 18 west.

As you enter the park follow the signs for the picnic area shelter. Park in the lot between the two playgrounds. As you walk toward the lake you will pass through a very large picnic area. As you near the lake you will notice the steep drop to the water below. Don't worry you don't have to climb down there - turn east and start to walk. You should come to a wide trail between the trees. As you enjoy the sounds and smells of the lake (you won't see it through the trees) start to notice the larger trees just off to the right of the trail. Soon you will find a tree proclaiming Adam's love for Lauren. At the base of this tree you will find a perfect picnic place!

This is a micro-box so please bring your own pencil and ink pad. Rehide the box carefully. You may want to continue to find Jolly Roger!
