Short Hop LbNA #13988 (ARCHIVED)

From 84 Eastbound: Take Buckland Street Exit, turn right onto Pleasant Valley Road, then right onto Buckland Street.

From 84 Westbound: Take Buckland Street Exit, turn right onto Buckland Street.


Turn left onto Tolland Turnpike which is the next left after Burger King.
Keep to the right and go straight, the road will become North Main Street. Turn left on North School Street. Pass Union pond on the left and turn into the parking lot on your left. Pass through two red boulders at the back of the parking lot and you will see the trail. Just as you enter the trail, look for a 3 to 4 foot stump on the right, close to the trail. Look to your left for a large broken tree with pricker bushes near it, about 30' into the woods. There is a dead log below it. Follow this dead log back toward the trail. The box is underneath.
