Veteran’s Memorial Park
This is a quick one if you choose to start in East Hartford. Find your way to Veteran’s Memorial Park in East Hartford, Connecticut. From Silver Lane you will see signs pointing toward it.
Clues:
Park in the lot and make your way to the bike path which is by the razor wire enclosure that threatens you with video surveillance. So welcoming. Head down the hill. You will soon see a fallen tree trunk on the left side of the path. Just after that a five prong tree, which is where the soaring eagle is currently nesting. If you continue down this path you will come to Bill and Craig’s Charter Oak Greenway Letterbox. And I guess that means you can bike to it. Too steep for me, though.
