The Enfield Public Library has great children and teen programs. Check out what’s new at www.enfieldpubliclibrary.org. You might want to stop in during story time, catch a movie or a teen poetry club meeting, or maybe even check out a book or two!
Library hours are Monday–Friday 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Closed Saturdays in July and August.
Directions – I-91 North Exit 47. Proceed through the first traffic light, merging onto Route 190 East. At the 6th stoplight (at the intersection of Route 190 and Palomba Drive to the North and Middle Road to the South), turn right onto Middle Road (Mobil gas station is on the right). The Enfield Central Library is .9 miles on the right (104 Middle Road).
This letterbox has been approved by Henry Dutcher, Library Director and Kristen Frost, the Head of Children/Teen Services.
Clues - Park in the front lot and follow the brick path to the main entrance. Check out the display case to see what events may be happening or what kind of collection might be displayed that week.
Go through the archway on your right (metal detector) and take 4 steps. Turn to the right and walk straight for 4 or 5 steps. The Young Adult section will be on your right.
Look to the first bookshelf on your right. On the third (bottom) shelf, under the classic books on tape (the Hunchback, Gulliver and Tom Sawyer) you’ll find a special “book” for Teen Boxers (and boxers of all ages)!
After you’ve stamped in, check out the book reviews, listings of recommended reading for the college bound, or the list of banned books (you’ll be amazed what classics are on this list of books that have been banned by different organizations).
Thanks to the Enfield Public Library for letting us place the box!
