Very easy

The Enfield Public Library hosts a summer reading program called “Enfield Reads Together.” This letterbox is in honor of the book read during the summer of 2004, Treasure Island.

Directions: I-91 North to Exit 47E. Proceed through the first traffic light, merging onto Route 190 East. At the 6th stoplight (at the intersection of Route 190 and Palomba Drive to the North and Middle Road to the South), turn right onto Middle Road. There is a Mobile gas station on the right. The Enfield Central Library is .9 miles on the right (104 Middle Road).

Clues: The search for Treasure Island begins at The Admiral Benbow Inn (also known as the Enfield Central Library). Navigate the ‘Hispaniola’ (or your car) to the back parking lot. Dock close to the large “mast” in the Southeast corner. Be wary of any evil pirates that may be watching in order to steal your map and find the treasure.

Walk 42 steps from the “mast” to the lone tree near the corner of the fence. Hidden at the base of the tree is the treasure you seek.

After stamping in, please replace the box just as you found it. We wouldn’t want the pirates to find it and steal the treasure, or to have to put you in the stockade for not following directions.
