Finally replaced June 2013! YAY!

Difficulty:Easy
Terrain: Easy
Time: 30 minutes or so.

Directions to Maudslay State Park: Interstate 95 to Exit 57, onto MA 113E. In less than 1/2 mi. turn left at the cemetary onto Noble St. At the stop sign, turn left onto Ferry Rd. Follow the state park signs. Bear left at the fork and you will reach the parking area on the left after approx. 1.4 miles. Parking is $2.

Clue: Go to the trailhead at the corner of the parking lot and pick up a trailmap. Cross the street, head to the left and go through the gate and stone wall onto Hedge Drive. Pass Marker 9. Continue past the curved stonewall and foundations, onto the grass toward Merrimack River. When you reach the gravel trail, turn right and follow the curves into the woods. Cross the stone bridge and turn right, then another right over the small stone footbridge. At the end of the footbridge, take about 35 steps to the next trail intersection. Look to the right and find a tree with one and a half trunks. Go to that tree and look around its backside to find the Maudslay Cow under the bark. Please stamp in and rehide carefully - people frequently walk past. Now explore the rest of the park - it has many interesting spots to enjoy. Maybe the cows will be out in the pasture by the farmhouse.
