Dunn Pond is a State Park on Rt. 101 in Gardner, Ma. It is a great place for family outings. There is picnicking, hiking, swimming, fishing, and a playground. There is a nice hiking trail that goes all the way around the pond. Dogs are allowed on a leash.
From Rt.2 Take exit 24 to Rt. 140 North. At the second set of lights, take a left onto Rt. 101 south. Go 1 mile to Dunn Park on your left. (There is a parking fee in the summer).
Go down to the water near the pond house. Look to your left and find the trail between the pond and the pond house. The trail goes all the way around the pond. Follow the trail for a short while. Go down the stairs, around the cove and stop when you get to the stairs that go up. From the bottom of the stairs go back 21 steps in the direction that you came from. Look to your right and see 2 boulders about 20 steps from the trail. Your prize is hidden under the first boulder. After you stamp in you can follow the trail around the pond back to your car.
