Waushacum Ponds Rail Trail

This letterbox is dedicated to my letterboxing buddy Ginger (Gingerblue). I love to letterbox with Ginger but very often she is unable to go because she is either busy with her husband, her children, her parents, her mother-in-law, her relatives, her husband’s relatives, her friends or her job…in other words…I can’t get Ginger to letterbox because Ginger loves everybody and Everybody Loves Ginger!.
Route 12 runs through the center of Sterling, MA. Look for the signs for the Cider Mill Bldg. and take one of the streets (either Cross St. or School Street) to get there. Park in the back of the lot and find the narrow path that leads to the Waushacum Ponds Rail Trail (at the time this box was planted this trail was unmarked). Walk down the path and cross the bridge. Once over the bridge look for the first stone bench on the left. Ginger is hidden under that bench in the back, covered by sticks. Since this is such an obvious spot, please take care to make certain that she is well hidden and cannot be seen from the front. The Dave’s Faves letterbox series is hidden further down the trail with the clues starting at the opposite end of the trail on Gates Road.
