It was in a very conspicuous spot, so hold tight, and we'll attempt a re-place soon!
Terrain: Easy – flat walking, with stairs
Clues: Easy – no compass necessary
Time: about 15 minutes
This Letterbox was placed in celebration of my mother’s birthday in November 2010. I carved it in dedication to her inspiring me throughout my life. She has provided me, my sister, our extended family, and basically everyone she comes in contact with Peace, Love, and Hope.
Find the parking lot near the fountain in Brandywine Park in Wilmington. Walk across the Van Buren Street bridge. Taking the steps down to the right will take you toward the “FotB-1” Letterbox; for this box, cross the street to the left and go down the 26 steps, heading downstream.
Follow the mill race away from the Van Buren Street bridge. Keep a look out for Ashmond Stidham’s historical marker. Your prize awaits within.
Please, please be sure to replace the box so it’s not visible, given the public location.
