Begin your journey at the city's clock tower and follow the curved paved path, passing 6 "white balls on black posts".

(Sidenote: When you get to the 1st post on your right, look left to "not Goliath" Street & you may see yellow-bricked # 79...where my great-grandparents Amelia & Alfred Hummel lived (1919-1939). My grandma was born upstairs.

Continue on the path but be careful not to get hit by a cannonball.

Cross the street to the 'dwelling that ought to float'. Turn right. Walk on brick then pavement again. Pass 2 benches on your left. Over the bridge erected in 1896 to bandstand & cross the 2nd bridge (you can see the old blue water tower in the distance on the left).

Turn left, passing a knobby tree. Walk straight until water ends. Go through painted black posts, cross street, and over to the fire hydrant. Path is now fine gravel & may be muddy.

Now be discreet: On the right of the path, there is a bank with a cluster of spruce trees. Go to the 2nd tree & there is a camo box hung about 4' off the ground on the back side of the trunk...Grab it quickly & do your artwork back at the park. There is alot of pedestrian traffic & you may look suspicious.

Continue on the path to see the 1820 homestead...
