Enter Bechtel Park and park at the lot closest the playground. Enter the path where the warning sign for foxes and coyotes.
Follow the path past Willis Grove. Go right at the "T" junction; where the tree logs lay behind one tree standing on the cross section of the path.
Cross over a creek bed on a stone bridge, continue on the path going down a small hill.
Go right at the "T" junction: where the big logs lay. Go up a small hill over a creek bed on a stone bridge.
At the "T" junction turn left; where the 3 trees stand in the crossing. Go down the hill into the opening, keeping on the path.
Do you hear the traffic on the expressway? Keep following the path.
Do you hear the water? Go over the concrete bridge with two metal handrails. Do you see any fish in the water? In the summer months you will see people fishing on the banks.
Go straight off the bridge and take the path ahead to the left and follow it around. You will soon spot a tree leaning into the path with it's roots exposed. Beneath the sticks is what you seek!
Enjoy the rest of your walk. This is a great place to see the fall colours. Also in the spring the woods is full of triliums, please remember to only look and not pick these flowers.
