THIS LETTERBOX IS GONE AND I CAN'T FIND A PLACE TO REPLACE IT.
This area has really built up, when we placed this, the Target shopping center was a huge empty lot. I wanted to keep it in the line up because it is a cool place to go, just no stamp. :(
This letterbox is placed outside of David Adicks Sculpturworx Studio. He is the artist that made the Big Sam Houston Statue in Huntsville. He is in the process of making a drive thru park, of all the presidents busts, which will be located in South Dakota by Mount Rushmore. He has made several of these HUGE statues of different presidents. The gates have always been open the several times we have been there, it seems you can go in in look around, as other people are doing the same, and we have done the same.
The box in located on the outside of his studio.
They recently built a Target SuperStore, across from this letterbox, so it maybe a little harder to be discreet with this box.
DIRECTIONS: I-10 West, exiting Taylor. Go over the freeway, you will be turning right on Summer, Summer is located before the railroad tracks - and his studio is at the end of this road - 2500 Summer - you will see the statues!!
TO THE LETTERBOX: When you come to the end of Summer there is a little side street you can turn right on - turn right. Go to the end of this side street - look to your left you and you will see a concrete loading dock with a metal fence on top. The box is behind a stump, covered with concrete rocks, next to the loading dock and by the chain link fence. Please make sure you place the concrete rocks back in their place to keep this box hidden.
