Difficulty: Don't attempt to drive all the way there. Offroad vehicle or on foot for the last part.

We Barlows get together once in a while. Last year was at Zephyr Cove in Lake Tahoe, and this year, the larger contingent met at Bear Lake Utah. We placed a box at Tahoe, so we put one here too.

As you enter from Logan Canyon on HWY 89, you will see the Raspberry Arch Square. Turn Right and follow the main road for 2.1 miles. On your right, you should see a street sign indicating Hodges Canyon Road. Take it. If you pass a BIG RED TOY BOX, you are on the right road. This is a dirt road that gets sprayed in order to keep the dust to a minimum. Follow this for 1.2 miles. Here, you will reach a small red sign that reads Sweet Water Parkway. (This is where we messed up a little.) The main road curves off to the left, but what you want to do is park your vehicle here and walk up the smaller, more rugged road the remaining 0.3 miles to the box. Our Uncle failed to indicate that the road from here out was for off-road vehicles only, and I don't think our minivan appreciated the lack of flattness or spots to turn around. Anyhow, once you have traveled the remaining 0.3 miles, you will reach a sistern on the left side of the road. It is a small cement square with a round lid that is locked and a horseshoe shapped pipe sticking out of the top. Your box is behind the sistern under a pile of wood.

If you continue up the road, you will reach a small corrall once you go through a small gate with a cattle guard. This is where we ran into a group of guys on motorcycles with looks on their faces saying, "these tourists must be plain stupid." They were very kind and didn't laugh at us (at least until we did an 18-point turn around and left). So I caution you again not to try this in the family wagon.
