Blue Butterfly
Our Butterfly is well acquainted
With trails blazed a Blue hue.
They have great climbs, and boast of
Ridgelines with magnificent views.
A box in honor of the Winged-one’s
Seventy-fifth jubilee
Has been hidden atop York Mountain
For her and for thee.
Make your way to the junction of
Regicides and Quinnipiac.
A tree marks the spot-
To it place your back.
Southwest on Regicides
Twenty-five steps do take.
Stop and face 140º
Again 25 steps, make no mistake.
Standing next to the cedar
Now turn to your right.
Five steps along the ledge
And a knee-high cave is in sight.
(This is the same section of trail that the Grand Old Duke of York letterbox is on.)
