Kerens Texas is a small community in Navarro County about 15 miles east of Corsicana Texas. It is home to Kerens ISD and the Fighting Bobcats! A famous Texan from this community is “Big Tex” who welcomes visitors to the State Fair of Texas.

Directions: From highway 31, turn south on Goodman Ave. Cross railroad tracks and turn right on 1st Ave. Follow this road to the Kerens Cemetery on your left.
Clue:
Enter Cemetery and stay right all the way to a pavllion. Turn left and park. On your right will be a grass road. Walk up this road to a large oak tree, and stand with it on your left. Walk forward 20 steps. on your left will be James Calvin Sherrill's tombstone. face the stone and look directly behind it a few feet. There is a large tree with bushes behind it. the box is at the base of the tree under sticks and debris.
Please re-seal all baggies and re-cover the box.
