Just north of Terrebonne on U. S. Highway 97, turn west on Lower Bridge Road. There is a highway sign for Crooked River Ranch at this intersection. Follow the signs to the Ranch. Once you have made a 90 degree left turn you will be on Chinook Avenue. Take the second left on to Badger Road which will turn into Blacktail Drive. When you reach Quail Road turn right. Take the second left on to River Road. Go to the end at Steelhead Falls Trailhead and Campground. Drive past the restrooms to the end of the road which becomes a circle. Park there.
Walk down the dirt road that is behind the steel gate for about 170 steps to a tall, double-trunk Juniper Tree on the right side of the road. From the back side of this large Juniper walk about 77 steps at about 248 degrees (from mag. north) to a prone, 10 feet long, grey weathered log. The box is on the east side at the north end of the log under the log behind a piece of lava rock (the log is not visible from the dirt road). Be alert for snakes!
Please please be sure the contents are double ziplocked when you put them back in the box (i.e. the stamp is in a ziploc, the book is in a ziploc, and the two are in the larger ziploc bag). Please put the lid on tight. Please rehide the box well under the log and behind the rock and covered with twigs and other plant debris so that it can not be seen from any direction.
Contact me if the box needs attention:
