If you are a letterboxer who loves Willie Nelson, this is the letterbox for you. You will find it in the Willie Nelson and Friends museum in Nashville. It's across the street from the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. The address is 2613 McGavock Pike in Nashville. Take exit 12 off Briley Parkway (TN 155) toward the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. The museum will be on your right just past the turnoff for the hotel. When you enter the store that houses the museum, you will most likely be greeted by Jeannie Oakley, the owner of the museum, and a friend of Willie's. The museum holds lots of authentic Willie memorabilia, as well as items from other legendary stars. It is one of the world's largest showcase displays featuring hundreds of personal items from Willie and many of his friends including Porter Wagoner, Dolly Parton, Mel Tillis, and the late stars Patsy Cline, Roy Acuff, Faron Young, Audie Murphy & many others. The letterbox is in the museum, which has an admission price of $5.50. As you explore the museum, you will come across a booth from a diner. It will have blue seats, and the kind of table-top juke box mechanism that used to be so popular way-back-when. If you look to see the song choices, the letterbox will be under the seat to your left. Don't look underneath--lift up the seat.
