Trail difficulty: Very easy, a paved path
Distance: about 0.5 mile round trip
The answers to the questions in the clues for this webbox are located in Saguaro National Park on the far western side of Tucson. Letterboxes are not allowed to be physically placed in national parks. So, I have created this webbox. You must actually visit the area of the clues; however, you need to go to the Web to obtain your finders stamp and sign the log book.
Enter Saguaro National Park West (Tucson Mountain) District. Drive to the trail head for the Desert Discovery Nature Trail and park there. It is on Kinney Road about 1 mile northwest of the visitor center.
Start walking on the path. You will soon see an interpretive sign titled “Desert Discovery Trail”. In the 1st paragraph, in the 1st line, what is the 10th (last) word ______? Continue walking on the path and look for an interpretive sign titled “Little Giants”. In the 1st paragraph on the left, in the 5th line, what is the 3rd word ______?
To create the mystery word, put the word from the second question on the end of the word from the first question (without spaces). Paste the mystery word into this URL (replacing the question marks “???” with the mystery word):
http://nostalgia.esmartkid.com/???.html
Now, plug/paste/type the new URL into your web browser and you will have completed your search for the Saguaro Park West Webbox.
Please record your find at www.letterboxing.org/ .
Click here for a list of all my national parks and monuments webboxes.
If you live in Arizona or New Mexico or have an interest in letterboxes in those states, you are invited to join the Letterboxing Southwest Discussion Group. Go here to join: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LetterboxingSouthwest/ .
