Canyon to Prairie Stroll
Enjoy a leisurely hike along a canyon rim and experience dramatic changes in scenery as you search for a letterbox hidden in Castlewood Canyon State Park.
Difficulty: Easy walk, mostly on a concrete path. 2.5 miles round trip. A clue sheet, compass and pen are needed to find the letterbox.
Obtain a clue sheet at the Castlewood Canyon State Park Visitor Center. The center is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.

Directions to Castlewood Canyon State Park:
Take I-25 to Castle Rock, turn east on Highway 86, go six miles to Franktown, turn south on Highway 83 (South Parker Road) and go south to the park's entrance.
