The Golden Exacto Award Letterbox

We have traveled north.

We have traveled south.

Many times!!!!!!

Up and down interstate 95.

In good weather, and bad.

Miles upon miles have been traveled on this road, sometimes repeatedly, in search of just one thing.

A box that was planted by Phyto and Isosceles!

Their boxes are treasures. Either for the carvings, the whimsy of the location, or the cleverness of the clues. We have seen many beautiful places; enjoyed amazing carvings; eluded the police a time or two.

Had bumps, scratches, bruises, and MANY mosquitos’ bites. But we always go back for more. The boxes are just too good.

When we are heading home and pass the rest station, I always think of the MANY trips for these boxes, and so I thought it only appropriate to place a box there to commemorate our travels, and to honor these two leaders in the boxing community of Maine. My carvings are not as elegant; my location not as grand, but the sentiment is real. We will always remember our hunts for these boxes and thank you for your time and efforts.

Now on to the clues:

While traveling south on interstate 95 from Bangor, ME. Stop and take a rest at the visitors’ center. After freshening up after your long day of boxing, walk south past the picnic tables towards the pet exercise area. Once on the path you will immediately see a path to your right. Turn here and you will see a large diameter birch on your left and in front of you. At the base of this tree is the award you seek.

Thanks Phyto and Isosceles
