“Happy Heart”

Location: Voorhees State Park, Parcourse Fitness trail that begins to the right of the Park Ranger office
Difficulty: Easy (you must start at the Parcourse Fitness sign and get the “secret” number first)
Terrain: Easy (just watch for roots and stones protruding from the ground on the trail). The letterbox is located about 20ft off the main trail, so watch your footing for the last part of the journey.
“No matter what shape you are in, do not panic just yet;
This Parcourse Fitness walk is easy, you bet!
Your heart craves a nice stroll to fill its hunger,
For this adventure, add 40 to the upper beat limit for those “20 & younger”.
Once you’ve found this number on the sign toward the bottom,
Stretch and put your walkin’ shoes on, if you got ‘em!
Start off on the trail and count each time your left foot hits the ground,
The pines above are tempting, but keep your view looking down.
You’ll pass first one fitness station, then two,
You can try them if you like, just remember your count if you do!
When you reach the “heart’s upper limit" (plus 40) from above,
You should be a dime’s worth of paces past station 3-4, roughly thereof.
Huge boulders in the ground, both of them on the left,
Indicate to you that you won’t leave this quest bereft.
Turn right and look a car’s length into the woods,
If children are playing nearby, then you’ve almost got the goods!
A giant tree reaches skyward from the ground,
In its palm, your sought after treasure can be found!”
