It's that time of year again. We will be meeting at Rocky Neck State Park on October 16th at 9a.m. for the annual American Heart Walk.
This year my boxes will be left for one week instead of just for the event. Those of you who have unfinished hearts from last year (sorry Sandi), I've placed bonus clues for you to be able to complete your hearts!
Remember, "old" people aren't the only ones with heart trouble. Come out and show your support for this worthy cause.
Clue #1- Join the Curves staff as we warm up everyone for the walk. While facing us, you should notice a group of rocks to the right of the Concession House. Go and check them out. There is a momma and daddy rock and between them is baby making three! Check at the base of baby, under twigs and leaves for your first treasure.
Clue #2- Whether you are a neophyte (1 mile) or a trooper (3 miles) or a seasoned walker (5 miles), all will be directed toward a walk along the beach. Before picking up your flower, there is a walkway over water to the left of the Park Info sign. Stroll across this and at the end of the walkway look to the right, down behind the slats of the bridge for your second treasure.
Clue #3- You've placed your flower in the heart on the beach but you're not done yet! Before taking the right under the tracks to the finish line, stroll toward the Pavilion and bear left to the picnic tables that line a grassy opening by the beach. Just past the red fence you will encounter first one and then another rocky opening to the water. Stand between the two in front of the yellow-berried tangle and look down-right for the third treasure you seek stashed between a couple of rocks.

For those who just can't leave before getting a few more boxes, bring along clues for Three Shells by the Seashore

P.S.If you should see me on the walk and ask who Tequila and Captain Morgan are, I'll give you my traveling stamp! (Look for my red Curves shirt and my NHRA-pinned cap)
