Once you get to Moccasin Creek State Park on the North end of Lake Burton, park across the street from the lake and the campgrounds. Find the trail head just NW of the small dam. You want to stay on the Nature Trail which is marked with yellow markers. The nature trail is an easy and enjoyable 1 mile loop trail that will leave you with plenty of energy for the Hemlock Falls trail.

Pass the bathouse, the spotted salamander, go West through the Food Plot, and cross The Edge. Once across The Edge, proceed across 8 footbridges (counting even the smallest ones). Once you have crossed the 8th footbridge, you will have no trouble identifying the hiding place of the letterbox. It will be straight ahead and slightly to the left in the base of a large fallen hemlock. Please rehide it carefully so that it will not be visible from the trail.

Don't forget to look for the Hemlock Falls letterbox while you are there. Also, please let us know if you find the letterbox in need of maintenance. This is our first letterbox placed, and the stamp isn't elaborate, but we hope you enjoy it.
