This is the CABOOSE LETTERBOX, and is named so because the letterbox is hidden on a caboose. The caboose is located on the Montour Bike Trail, in Findlay Township, Pennsylvania. The nearest town is Imperial, Pennsylvania, and the nearest city is Pittsburgh.
You can park at the Findlay Township Acitivity Center, at 310 Main Street in Imperial, Pennsylvania. The caboose is located behind the Activity Center, on the Montour Bike Trail (at approximately mile 8.75) and is within sight of the parking lot. It is very easy to reach without any strenous hiking or biking.
Face the caboose with your back to the trail. Count six railroad ties from the right end of the caboose to the left. Above the sixth railroad tie, under the caboose, you will find a red letter box sitting on a black beam. It is situated just inside the red wood exterior of the caboose.
Unfortunately, this is in a popular spot along the trail, so try not to let people notice what you are doing.
Please replace the box so that it cannot be seen from the trail.
