"As ancient is this hostelry
As any in the land may be,
Built in the old Colonial day,
When men lived in a grander way,
With ampler hospitality."
This box is located at Longfellow's Wayside Inn in Sudbury, MA. For more information, visit their website at http://wayside.org.

Once at the Inn, pick up a copy of the self-guided walking tour. Proceed on the tour to "D".

At this point, you'll diverge from the tour to hunt this letterbox; you'll be able to finish the tour once your hunt is complete.

Standing in the doorway on the lower floor of "D", proceed up the stone steps and continue on the path up the hill and over the wooden bridge.

Continue down the path and cross the cement bridge on the left. Follow the path to the right of the large boulder and continue along the pond's edge.

When the path eventually turns to the left away from the pond, follow it until it travels between twin pines. At the twin pines, take a reading of 300° and proceed 20 steps into the middle of a boulder field. The box is hidden in these boulders approximately six feet past the fallen log along the compass line.

PLEASE re-hide the box well!

To return to the walking tour, retrace your steps back to "D".
