The Sister Solstice Letterbox
at Willard Brook State Park
Wiilard Brook State Park offers a cold spring fed swimming area,
picturesque Trap Falls and Willard Brook, hiking trails and a
campground. To get there coming from the west, take route 2 to Rte 31
N through Fitchburg. In Ashby, take a right onto Rte 119 E. The
park entrance is a few hundred yards further on your right. $5 fee
during summer months. If coming from the east, take Rte 2 to Rte 13
N through North Leominster to Townsend. In Townsend, take a left
onto Rte 119 W. In approx. 3 miles you will pass the parking area
for Trap Falls on your right. Another mile or 2 and you will reach
the park entrance on your left.
Length: Short walk, less than 15 minutes
Clues: Covered bridge's east side
Acorn Trail by brook side
Low, ancient stone wall
Twin Hemlocks grown tall
Walk to hemlocks' far side
Solstice treasure does hide
At the base of the wall
Now I've told you it all!
Be sure to check out the clues for the Soltice Dance Letterbox planted
nearby.
