Tom’s Alien Spaceship
Carved and planted by Thomas (age 10) of Team Lightnin’ Bug.
Almost a drive by! 20 minutes round trip tops!
Located astride South Mountain in Allentown, PA. To get there, travel on Emaus Avenue. If coming from the west (Emmaus area – notice the different spellings – don’t ask, it’s a local thang), turn right onto SW 28th St. If coming from the east (towards South Allentown), turn left onto SW 28th St. Go to the end and find a place to park (street parking only). You will know you are there when you see the yellow “No Outlet” Sign.
If you stand in the middle of SW 28th St (no worries, pretty dead here), you will see an unmaintained road continuing uphill at 130 deg. Pass through the gate. The restricted/no trespassing signs are for the work on the new water tank being built on the right hand side is right next to an old one that looks like an actual Alien Spaceship. Locate a rocky trail heading up at 120 deg. Go up there. It will be slightly steep then level off as it climbs. Just before you reach the power line cut, find the V-Tree on the right. V-Rocks for the Box!
Be sure to visit Dr. Who #4, which has been hidden nearby by the Indigo Vulture.
