Seem Seed Farm

One Lehigh County’s Weird Little places. It is owned by Lehigh County and is a passive use park. A greedy developer wants to turn it in to a golf course. Yu-uck! At least it’s not urban sprawl.

Take I-78 to Cedar Crest Blvd. south 3 miles to Chestnut St. (S.R. 2005) in Emmaus. Turn left and go 0.2 mile to 10th St. Turn right, go 0.1 mile to Pennsylvania Ave. Turn right and go 0.4 mile, bear left and go 1.4 miles to intersection in Vera Cruz. Go straight on Vera Cruz Rd. South 0.5 mile to Geho Rd. Turn left and go 0.4 mile to Church View Rd. Turn left and go 0.3 mile and turn right into parking lot (before underpass for I-476 or the PA Turnpike). You will see a sign telling you that the I-476 bridge is 14’-2” high right after the unmarked park entrance. If you pass under I-476, you have gone too far!

From the parking lot, proceed down a dirt road bearing 120 deg, paralleling I-476. Obey the stop sign and do not enter! Instead, curve right with the dirt road, ultimately bearing 210 deg and parallel a treeline. At the orange and white stripey posts, turn right again, heading due west. You will come to a grove of trees on the left hand side with a boardwalk to enter. Follow the boardwalk as it winds and splits. First split left at 125 deg, then split right at 135 deg. On the left you will pass one of the biggest stumps in this area. Pass a small building with some odd graffiti on the left (you may want to have kids miss it, there is some drug and profanity references here). You will come to a platform overlooking a small pond. Very picturesque, even with the high tension wires. Take the boardwalk at 355 deg. Ultimately you will reach a stretch where it goes at 328 deg for a pretty long stretch. From the start , go 328 deg for 12 paces (left strikes). Sight a humungo stump on your right and seek your treasure inside.
