To find the answer to the brainteaser you must find a letterbox. This letterbox is located in the Olde Towne section of Portsmouth.
This letterbox may be best found in the evening. The area is well lit at night and you may have less of a chance of being discovered. Take the Elizabeth River ferry from Waterside to the North Landing. Take a left on the brick walkway towards the Visitor's Center. Take the brick walkway off to the right and go up the handicapped entrance to the center. Before you go inside, go to your right past the men's room. Walk until the railing ends and the chain starts. Underneath the walkway on a ledge behind a large metal box is your treasure. Please make sure it is not visible from the walkway when you rehide.
The visitor's center can provide you with info on walking tours of the area. There are great shops and restaurants on High St. There is a great children's museum, as well as the Commodore theater.
Ferry info can be found at hrtransit.org
If you want to drive, take I-264 from Norfolk through the downtown tunnel and take the first exit. Take Crawford parkway to the visitor's center on the right.
You can continue on from here to find box #4
Enjoy Olde Towne!
