Getting There: Take I-435 to I-35 South; Take the 169 South/K-7 exit towards Paola; Turn left at this exit onto 169 South; Follow this highway approximately 12 miles to the Spring Hill/Bucyrus exit ramp/223rd Street (this is PAST the first Spring Hill exit – 199th Street); Turn left (East) at this exit; Turn right on Harrison (by Phillips 66); Turn left on Franklin; Take your 2nd left into a parking area. This brings you to the BlackHawk jog trail area.

The letterbox is only a short stroll away from your car. This is an open area, so try to be discreet.

Start walking on the paved trail. At the pond, the trail forks; follow the right side of the trail. The trail will fork again at a bench, but stay straight. Don’t take the trail to the left. You will pass two more benches on your right. Beside the second bench, there’s an evergreen tree. Put your back to the evergreen tree and look into the trees in front of you for a big rock. On the left side of this rock is the letterbox covered by some brush.

Happy letterboxing!
