It was a place of passage and a time of terror. About half of the emigrants on the Oregon Trail forded the Snake River at Three Island Crossing, folowing the gravel bars that jutted into the river. Not all were successful; pioneer diaries recount the grim stories of lost wagons, livestock and lives. Today, a 513 acre park commemorates the river crossing. The park features a campground, picnic areas, an interpretive cernter and tours.

**There is a small day use fee to enter the park. Please support Idaho parks!

To the Park: Travel time from I-84 approximately 5 minutes. From I-84 take the Glenns Ferry exit and follow the signs through town to the park.

To the box: Follow the road past the interpretive center to find the day use/picnic area and restrooms near the river. Walk west south west to the old wooden ferry. Hidden behind the outboard log on the west south west side is you wagon.
