Depending on the time you go you can actually walk on the falls, from the water level being so low. When planted the water level was quite high and made many rocks slippery so please be careful. Either time you visit this area, the falls are still spectacular.
Directions:
From I-84 take exit 34 (old exit 9)
Turn North onto route 739 and tavel approximately .8 miles
At 84 Lumber turn Right (north) onto route 434
At the end (about 4 miles) turn right (east) onto route 6 and drive approximately 2.5 miles
Drive PAST the Shohola Recreation Area on your right
Turn right at the "Shohola Falls Inn Cabin" sign
Follow the road to a T-Intersection, bear right and park in the upper parking lot, next to the dam
Clues:
Start walking North down a trail keeping a stone wall on your right, but stay on the main path.
Pass another stone wall on your right and head down the stairs.
Continue down keeping the falls on your left.
Follow the main path to your right.
Before it seems to bear left you will find yourself walking in between two trees.
Find a tree just a head of you on your right, beneath the snarls and MANY rocks you will find your box.
Please be sure you are discrete because this is a VERY highly traveled area.
