Directions:
Pequitside Woods
I-93/128 exit 2A to Route 138 S, R on Washington Street, L on Pleasant Street, entrance to pond (long portage down hill to water) ahead L. After Pequitside Farm on your right there is a turn about parking area with picnic tables. Park here and cross on the crosswalk to the entrance to Pequitside Woods.

This letterbox was originally going to be a hitchhiker in honor of the kids returning to school. But I liked it and wanted to plant it permanently!

Enter Pequitside Woods and follow the path to the grassy area. Go to the right towards the reservoir. Welcome to the Earl Newhouse Waterfront! This is a wonderful place for a picnic. There are tables here and docks for fishing.

Walk forward to the dock and take in the beautiful area. The day I planted this letterbox there were many geese and I could see fish in the water!

After you are done enjoying the sights...go back towards the waterfront sign and take the path to your left. After a short while you will come to a sewer pipe cap on your left. (Although this is not exactly the type of landmark I would like to use....it did serve its purpose!) Approximately four steps further on the path turn to your right. In front of you...up the hill a little bit...there will be an old rotting stump. The Back to School Letterbox is hidden in this stump.

It is possible to get to the stump without leaving an obvious trail.
Please take care to do so. Rehide carefully...even better than you found it!
