Box located at: Hopeville Pond State Park in Griswold. Park is located off RT 201, which you can get to from Exit 85 in Griswold, follow RT 138 toward Voluntown to RT 201, then follow signs.

This is an easy 1/2 hr walk and can be done with a stroller. Kid friendly.

Directions:

Enter the park. (Fee for parking during season on weekends. Days and evenings are free during summer. Free remainder of the year. Park closes at dark.) Remember bug spray!

Clues: Road splits -take right toward beach. Park in lot on left hand side before bathrooms. The entrance to the trail will be straight ahead of lot past picnic tables. Once at path, bear left. Continue and go straight over intersecting road. Follow to 2nd split in path at 4 way HUGE pine tree. Bear right and follow. You will come up to a small footbridge that leads to the campground. Do not go over bridge, continue to bear right. Note observation deck on the left. Sit and rest for a bit and enjoy the view. Continue on your path back to T intersection. Head straight into the woods. Look for a tree that is 3 trees in one. Go around the back of the tree and find your prize hiding about 5 ft up in nook of branches. Rehide well, very busy trail in season. Turn back to trail and take a right back on trail -same trail back to parking lot.

Once back at lot, you can also head to the beach to the left, great spot for family picnics and bbq's. Park is also a great place to take the family camping!

Hidden by Baby Hann, Toy train and KK

Be sure to look for other letterboxes located in the park!
