OBVIOUSLY WE NEED A NEW HIDING PLACE. WE ARE PLANNING TO LOOK FOR ONE ON WEDNESDAY 9/14.
Directions from TF Green Airport: (driving time approximately 10 minutes depending on traffic) Begin by traveling EAST on Airport Road (away from Post Road), towards Hoxie Four Corners. You will see the airport runways on your right. At Hoxie Four Corners Airport Road turns into West Shore Road. Hoxie Four Corners is at the intersection of West Shore Road, Airport Road and Warwick Avenue. (Get a cup of coffee or a Coolatta!) Go SE on West Shore Road. (Total drive about 2.5 miles from Hoxie Four Corners) You will come to the center of Conimucut (section of Warwick where you can take time to Antique or mail a letter). Continue on West Shore Road. Soon you’ll see a Cumberland Farms on your Left where you can get gas, a soda and a candy bar! Now look on your right. See Church Street (no church). A little farther and you’ll see Bend Street. Take a right and see signs to visit a PAL. Look for a place to STOP and toss a few baseballs. Park in the lot and take the walking path. Look for a small playground across from a soccer field. Step off the path and walk towards the field and playground. Behind the playground you’ll see where the “Line Man for the County” might spend some time. For those of you too young to recall this tune, it means a telephone pole. Spot your prize in the underbrush at the base of the pole. Please be careful not to give away the location to the soccer players and re-hide well. This box is easy. You can actually drive to the playground area if you have older folks or someone who has trouble walking. This box is also wheelchair and stroller friendly. You can also bring your dog just bring plastic bags just in case! Enjoy! Conimicut Letterbox #2 has been placed. If you wish to visit this one next, leave the park the way you came. At West Shore Road take a left. When you get to the traffic light in Conimicut Village, follow the clues for Conimicut Letterbox #2. The "Happy Puppy" looks forward to your visit!
