This box should take approximately 30 minutes of walking time, round trip. The dirt road is closed to vehicles but is used often by horses and ATVs.

We lay in bed looking at the sky for a falling star wishing you both peace as you crossed over the Rainbow Bridge to paradise. We see none; only hundreds of stationary stars, each one reflecting the joy, memories and fun times you both gave us. So, Kendall and Toby this letterbox is in honor and memory of you both; our quiet feline friends.

Clues:
Continue on East Main St. in Torrington (Rt. 202)to the junction of Rt. 183 North. Proceed 3.1 miles to Cedar Lane on the right. Continue for approximately 0.8 miles to Cedar Swamp Wildlife Management Area on the left. Park near the sign and walk on the dirt road. You will pass two houses in the very beginning (one on each side of the road). Continue walking past a 3rd house sitting back off the road on the right. Soon you will come to a small tree on the left with 4 woodpecker holes about 5 feet up the trunk. Forge ahead being careful as the road can be muddy and flooded in some places.
Shortly a small field will be visible on the right. A few more steps and you will see a small path to your left. Take 22 steps forward on the dirt road to a slightly larger opening, on your left, in a rather dilapitated stone wall. As you enter this opening notice a large rock and what appears to be a four fingered tree (it actually has 5 trunks as you will see as you approach it)to your left. There are two signs on the tree; one yellow and black noting it is State property and the other a white "hunting permitted" sign.
Behind this tree you will find our memorial letterbox to our beloved kitties; Kendall and Toby.
We hope you have enjoyed this quiet walk. You can continue your walk which will take you to Niles Road in New Hartford. You will pass a small pond which often has Great Blue Herons and many turtles. In order to return to your car you will have to retrace your steps.
