This box honors a year round West Yellowstone resident & a common character in northwest Indian mythology - the Raven.
Start your search at the Rendezvous ski trail sign near the emergency services building, behind the lumber yard on the south side of town. Take the kids' loop to the right to where the trail (road) Y's (about 160 paces.) Go left for about 50 paces to another Y & again go left. At about 90 paces you'll see a dirt mound and a pile of partially burned trees on your right. Stand a top the mound & look south across the tire tracks and you'll see another pile of dead wood at about four times the number of letters in Poe's raven's refrain. Under a charred stump & behind a chunk of wood is your letterbox.
Please be sure the bags & box are tightly closed. This is an area of deep winter snow.
