Alas, George Becker, now, only in memory resides on Watery Hill (World War I Memorial Park), in North Attleboro and soon after entering (you can only go one way) you will pass the playground..after the playground you want to look for the gate on your right..if your at the watch tower look out, you've gone too far.
Follow the path you see towards the right of the red gate.
Walk a ways, until the path opens, and forks. Bear right noting that the poles along the path, on your right - are numbered. The first pole is numbered 1, 2, etc., then the path will split.
Keep left, leaving the stone path, and walk unto the green pasture like grass, (Pole #5 is here at this point). While here, I heard the voices, laughter and the hoots of better days..as I felt saddened I had been here as a teenager, and now as an adult, this hill is merely a hill..as its true purpose has long, been abandoned off and on.
Onward, you'll see Pole #6 on your right..glance directly to your left at the woods, a few feet in, to a large stone, that sits aside a cluster of trees (four thin limbs).
To the right is a mound of earth where moss grows..there, you'll spy a large tree in the middle of the mound.
As nature would have it, a tiny alcove is formed at the base of this tree, to house and keep "The Man in the Moon"..remove his slate-like door that protects him, in slumber, from the light.
After your visit hide him well, as he protects the visitors and memories of all who knew the magic of Sunrise Hill...that today is only an occassional dream.
