Clues From high on the escarpment at the Luensman Overview Park there is a view of grape vineyards covering the Lake Erie plain. In springtime, migrating hawks soar on the thermal currents. On a clear blue day, the view includes the Canadian shore, forty miles away. A nature trail with excellent Trail Guide is available for free as well as picnic tables and charcoal burning grills. There is a shelter and public sanitary facilities. This letterbox is handicap accessible. The park is open from May 15 to Nov. 1, but you can park at the entrance and hike or ski in.
This letterbox is temporarily out of commission due to vandalism. Watch for a new box within two weeks. (by July 15)
