Background: Mission Bay is a man-made waterway with islands and beaches which connects to the Pacific Ocean. The area is a great place for a picnic, rollerblading or just people watching. Every July the annual Over-the-Line Tournament is held on Fiesta Island in Mission Bay. This microbox is placed at Ski Beach in honor of my daughter Jeanell's baptism there on July 23, 2004.
Terrain: Easy
Directions: Take I-8 west to the beach and exit at West Mission Bay Drive. Continue straight after you pass SeaWorld on the right and go over the bridge. Turn right into the Ski Beach parking lot and take an immediate left to park in the northern most parking lot.
Clues: Walk south on sidewalk to second bathroom. A clump of 7+ palms is on your left as you face the water. Walk to the palms and look in the crook between the 3rd smallest palm and an inner palm. In this crook you will find the Ski Beach Microbox.
