*** This series will be permanently retired June 14, 2009***
This is part of a series of letterboxes highlighting some of the unique features of various city parks in Urbana. An Urbana Park District guide might be helpful (or visit their website at www.prairienet.org/upd). Please bring your own inkpad and pen.
Start at the Wildflower Walk and head east. At the intersection, go right. It doesn't look like a trematode to me, but that's what the sign says. To the left of this object, there is a little path into the woods. From the concrete, take 13 steps. Now turn 90 degrees to your right. There's a large tree slightly ahead and to the left. At its base you will find UP box #5.
If you visit the box in spring (April-ish), stay until dusk to hear and see the mating call/display of the woodcock. It's quite spectacular!
