Thank you for considering this series. It was conceived in order to provide an avenue to explore Native American history, culture, and lore. We hope that you will take the time to read about the Native American tribes that are represented in this series. 19 letterboxers, from various areas of the country, have contributed stamps representing 22 tribes. Please contact the carvers, if possible, to acknowledge their wonderful contribution to the series. Without their invaluable efforts, this series would not be possible.

The clues to this series are accessed by clicking onto the link provided. This site was created by Mark Pepe, to whom we are eternally grateful. Mark has provided a wonderful canvas for this series to unfold. His time and patience was endless as this series took shape.

We want to emphasize that this is a long and somewhat strenuous series. It was purposely designed to have people engage in long hikes that they may contemplate the land and nature the Indians hold in such high regard.

You are very strongly encouraged to "buddy up" with someone for a second car. The second car will be at the end of the trail,or direction, of your choosing so that an even longer more strenuous hike may be avoided. Directions for this are noted. Plan on a minimum of 2-3 hours for the shortest hike if hiking out and back. You will find the blue Connecticut Walk Book very helpful for trail information. Many other wonderful letterboxes are within a short drive of this series, plan accordingly.

On behalf of all involved with this series, I bid you safe trails.
Koyote
