RETIRED
This letterbox was placed in honor of the beautiful deer that joined me as I was letterboxing for Cavy Lovers's Autumn Walk letterboxes. She stood and watched me as I sought out Boo!

Located at the Bradley Estate. For directions or more information see: http://www.thetrustees.org/pages/282_bradley_estate.cfm

How to Get There:
From Route 128 (I-93/Route 1), take exit 2A and follow Route 138 south towards Stoughton. Immediately after crossing bridge (if exiting from Route 128 north) or coming off exit ramp (if exiting from Route 128 south), turn right into first driveway on the right (it comes up fast!). Follow signs to parking area (75 cars). The drives on the property utilize a one-way system, so please take notice of signs. An MBTA commuter train is located 2 miles away. Visitors would need to walk from there or hire a taxicab.

From the information sign, take the path to the right. You will come to a paved road. Follow the paved road. You will see the estate house. Before you get to the house, take the path to the right. There will be a fenced area to your left. Follow the path to the open field. Turn left. There will be a stone wall along your left side.

Follow down the hill to a Y intersection. At the Y intersection, go right. The path will turn to the left into the woods. Follow this path. Following the path, you will pass a bench by an overgrown pond. Follow to your next Y intersection. There will be a bench on your left. Turn past the bench and follow the path into the woods on your left.

Follow this path up a small incline. Follow this path to another T intersection. Turn right. Again follow this path to a small clearing. Walk through the clearing straight across to the path into the woods again. You will come to a stone wall that intersects the path.

On your right will be a fence surrounding the estate property from the road. You will see on your right a large pine tree with a smaller pine tree shooting off the side of it. From this tree take approximatley 75 steps. (I'm 5'4" and it took me 75 steps. BUT someone emailed me and told me it took them more like 130 steps. My steps were not toe to heel...rather regular walking steps. So keep your eyes open! I think the tree stump that looks like a little chair is rather obvious!) You will see on your left a tree stump that looks almost like a little chair. Behind this stump there are two more stumps of trees. One of these stumps is rotting out and is hollow. There is a stump to the right of this rotten stump. The Letterboxing Deer is hidden in the hollow stump.

She is hidden well with bark and leaves. Please rehide carefully! Add more leaves and bark as necessary.

I miss my letterboxes when they leave! Please email me and let me know you have found it!
