I placed this box without knowing that one named "Douglas Mountain" already existed. So when you find it, it will not have the word "hiker" on the box. You will find this letterbox on the summit of Douglas Mountain in Sebago, Maine. Follow Rt. 107 north from East Baldwin or south from Bridgton. Watch for signs for Douglas Mt. If you're going south from Bridgton, Douglas Mountain Road will be on your right, and, of course, going north it will be on your left. Drive up the hill and follow the signs (you will have to take a left near a plum-colored building to continue to the summit). It is possible to park at the lot nearer the bottom, or continue in your vehicle to where the actual trailhead is. This is where the pavement ends and there is a small area for parking.

Hike to the summit. You will spot the tower to your left. A large balancing boulder (NON SIBI SED OMNIBUS) on your right. With your back against the center of the southside of balancing boulder, see the rock mound. Walk straight ahead until you are touching the mound with your right hand. Turn left and circle the mound 6 steps (or 3 paces). At your feet on the right are two rocks. One jagged, one smooth. Happy Stamping!
